I have a playstation 3, 80G and a lot of the time, i go to watch a video on it straight from the internet (not youtube) and instead of playing a video, it shows me the area where the video is supposed to go, either black, white or grey, and on the left of the area is a little box with a red 'X' in it and above it it says that it is not supported. what do i do if i want to be able to watch videos on my PS3? i think it may have something to do with flash player?
also, can you play playstation 2 games on a playstation 3? just wondering.

only if you got the original, after the price cut, it no longer plays ps2 games.

About the video, from what I know, even though the PS3 acts as a second computer it doesn't support any video types that require you to download a separate program to play movies. Programs such as adobe flash player and so on.

As to your second question, 80GB PS3s do not play PS2 games any longer unless you got it before around May of 2008 (or was it 2007) when Metal Gear Solid 4 came out. All PS3s after that were made without backward compatibility.

Although even the newer models can play some PS1 games. I've heard that but I've never tried it out on my own.
