You can buy the power gig guitar for the PS3 for like 30$ I was wondering if I could use this on Rocksmith because it says it is a real guitar that can be plugged into an amp.

Well, the Power Gig guitar IS a working electric guitar, but it's also a total piece of garbage.

I wouldn't even pay $10 for it. Seriously... it's awful. It's worse than the cheapest guitar you'll find at ANY real guitar store.

It's not a bad guitar with decent strings on. Try Zakk Wyldes. It actually stays in tune well and has decent tone consistency up the neck, comparable to any run-of-the-mill electric, with the added bonus of being compact and light weight. Lucas is a sociopath. Anywho, it seems the dongle doesn't receive audio, just normal controller signals, so you couldn't play Rocksmith via the bluetooth dongle. However, it certainly could work on great on any platform using the Ubisoft cable. Additionally, the Power Gig sounds great on an amp. I love mine because of the factors I mentioned but also because its got camp value. One thing, many Rocksmith songs on 100% difficulty you're probably going to want a better guitar anyway, but for just having fun and learning, the Power Gig is more than adequate. PS, any guitar sucks with bad strings. ;)
