I am interested in getting one of the Metal Slug games from the Playstation Store for my PS3.

But I have not played either of them, just watched videos on them and it looks like a fun game. But they have the Neo-Geo version AND the PS1 version (called Metal Slug X). I don't know which one to get.

Which of the 2, do you think is the better one and why? I promise I will award 10 points for Best Answer.

Thanks.

I always played the Neo-Geo version and its pretty good. Don't expect great graphics, but you sure will get lots of fun.

I'd choose the original MS-1 NeoGeo version, even if it's older has a lot less stuff than MS-X. The PS1/PSX doesn't have enough RAM to faithfully emulate large NeoGeo games.

I'd check old magazine reviews to see if it was a good port.
