Ps3 Colours?

ok, i really need help with this. Im doing a project on the ps3 and i need to talk about the different colours it comes in. I know that i comes in Black, silver and white abut are there any other colours (im talking about actual real colours on the ps3 not colours that you can see on the ps3's in google). Also why is the colour so important? why make different colours when the product is the same either way. What makes the colour so interesting. I would really appreciate it if you could help me with this. Many thanks!

The main reason they change the colour is to make it interesting. Also if you have a white tv a white ps3 would look better than a black one would, i think you can only get , white, black and silver, also you can send it away to get your own colour on it that you want

its mostly only in black atm

white ps3 has been announced and released in japan recently and no where else

colour only makes a difference for stupid people

any other colours are fan made and not official

It comes in shiny piano black, matt black and white (white in Japan only). The silver one is a prototype, shown in 2005. There are decals, which allow you to change colors ( http://www.decalgirl.com/ ). The color is not really important. The zone (PAL, NTSC) and the version are important (20GB, 40GB, 60GB or 80GB).
