It simply means that the your connection could not connection to the PlayStationNetwork quick enough for it to establish a good connection.

It might also mean that your connection is slow and sometimes you can get this message if the server is busy for a while.



Just keep trying. You will be able to get in.

Just that the current connection has timed out, this can happen when you have a bad connection with the recipient on the other end such as the 'host' of a game.



Just retry again, if you continually get these problems it could be that your internet is slow and therefore not capable enough.



Although, It can happen every now and then simply because the network is very busy.

It means that the time limit for connection to the network has been reached. it's a pain sometimes but not much you could do about it. Try re-setting your router and give it a go again

i could % to be attentive to the respond to this question--i'm getting it for all time--I click 'play pastime' and it throws me out of my PSN (i.e. logs me off) i pass to sign back in and it says 'timed out'--at contemporary--a actual discomfort (If I restart the equipment it fixes the prob---have not had it ensue in a at an identical time as

PS3 Expert is right, i would say the same thing, just try again.
