There's already a bit of PS1 games because they already started releasing them several years ago. But as for PS2 games, it's just gonna take a while for them to be released due to licensing and stuffs.

The only way you could play PS1 and PS2 games right away is perhaps either buy a old version of the PS3 that has the PS2 compatibility or just buy a PS2 console that you can use to play it.

They release them whenever they can. It probably has something to do with getting the rights from the publishers of the games. In the case of PS2 games, they also have to actually configure them to work properly on the PS3 with their emulator. Basically the way that works is that Sony more or less has to optimize it for each individual game, which is why PS2 classic releases are generally few and far between.

Sony fairly stated they are finished with the backwards compatibility crap. the only PS3 that advance into able to do it, value $one hundred greater effective than the different PS3's. if so, why hassle making the PS3 backwards properly matched while a PS2 expenditures $one hundred? provide up in this desire, it won't take place, yet yet another PS2 or get a effective computing gadget and play a ps2 emulator on it.

There's already a TON of PS1 games.

As for PS2, it's all about licensing.

So we'll see
