One way to tell is if the controller came with the PS3 then it's likely the SIXAXIS unless you purchased the PS3 recently from Japan. All PS3s were shipped with SIXAXIS controllers.
Another way to determine is it should say it 'SIXAXIS' should be labelled on the controller itself, right by the connection that goes to the charge/usb cable for the controller.

The controller that you listed isn't a Sixaxis controller because it's not produced by Sony. The Sixaxis Controllers cost around $49.99.
The Sixaxis controller will have the words "Sixaxis" in Blue letters on the controller.
Also, if you hold the Sony Sixaxis Controller up into the light, you will be able to see through it.

SIXAXIS is a beefed up tilt-sense controller that uses sensors to detect movement of the controller to add a whole new element to gaming. Say you are playing RFOM and a barrel blows up; you will catch on fire. Shaking the controller rapidly will extinguish the flames. No buttons neccessary. Some of the games on the PSN use only the SIXAXIS abilities so you would be unable to play them/get the full experience from your games without it. What model controller do you have? Search for the make of controller and "specifications" to see if it has SIXAXIS built in. Official site linked.

It says sixaxis right on the controller if you have it. It usually is the one that comes with the PS3. They are motion sensitive controllers.
