i have a ps1 game that i play on my ps2 however when i try and save the game it wont let me. i have a ps2 memory card is this the problem? will i have to use a ps1 memory card on my ps2 for it to save?

u cannot save ps1 games on a ps2 memory card. yes u need a ps1 memory card on ur ps2 to save ps1 games but im not sure if ps2 accepts ps1 memory cards.

No. there is the memory card for playstation One, which could be around 4 hundred KB, usually gray ; and the memory card for PS2, which could be around 8 MB, usually black. once you connect the memory card of a playstation One to a PS2, the PS2 acknowledges it as a memory card yet would not enable you to apply it under any circumstances.

Don't listen to the second guy. PS2 can play PSX games. To save a PSX game when using a PS2, you need a PSX memory card.

ps1 games does not work on ps2 memory card.it is the disc so buy a ps1

I dont remember it being a probelm for me, look if you even still have space on your mem card. maybe its that easy, if it still doesnt work try a ps1 mem card. good luck.
