I have just moved from England to America and I have brought my Slimline PS2, games and hundreds of regional 2 DVDS. I 'm trying to get the PS2 to work over here. I have purchased an American 2 pin power cord and plugged it into the transformer that came with my PS2. When I turn the TV on the picture is all messed up and flickers in a way that it scrolls with the display all jumbled up. The sound in ok. Is there a problem with the voltage or frequency? What is the best thing to do? Also does anyone know if PS3's can play region 2 DVD's? Thanks for your help in advance!

well i would advise buying swapmagic off the internet. It allows you to make the ps2 think you are playing a pal game. just put in your ntsc game and its ready to go. you can also us a modchip but then you would have to open your ps2 and void the warranty. with swapmagic you can also play game backups from dvd+-R. (burned games off the net for free)

its no longer a shitbox..besides.. all systems, aside the psthree, have region locks on their video games, meaning video games from the region can in elementary terms be performed on a gadget from that region, so, in case you had to play a activity you order from a different us of a your going to have a gadget from that categorical us of a, till you hack your gadget by potential of way of mod chips, which you purchase online, you could no longer purchase those in shops, then you certainly'll ought to install them your self, if your no longer a technical guy or woman, i could relatively propose in comparison
