I know that I can go to a PSP forum and download movies from there and they work but I'd like something of higher quality, if all else fails I suppose I can just convert them myself but that takes quite a while on my computer. heres a list of the formats the PS3 supports:

* Memory Stick Video Format
* - MPEG-4 SP (AAC LC)
* - H.264/MPEG-4 AVC High Profile (AAC LC)
* - MPEG-2 TS(H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, AAC LC)
* MP4 file format
* - H.264/MPEG-4 AVC High Profile (AAC LC)
* MPEG-1 (MPEG Audio Layer 2)
* MPEG-2 PS (MPEG2 Audio Layer 2, AAC LC, AC3(Dolby Digital), LPCM)
* MPEG-2 TS(MPEG2 Audio Layer 2, AC3(Dolby Digital), AAC LC)
* MPEG-2 TS(H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, AAC LC)
* AVI
* - Motion JPEG (Linear PCM)
* - Motion JPEG (μ-Law)
* AVCHD (.m2ts / .mts)
* DivX
* WMV
* - VC-1(WMA Standard V2)

I know it says AVI but I think I've gotten 1 to work...

If your in the US, the most convenient way is to use the PS Store. Its now offering movie and TV show downloads!

Legally you can download films off iTunes and other film sites such as LoveFilm which offer digital downloads too. The quality is usually DVD standard or less.

Or you could use a torrent site to download films - if they're copyrighted it is illegal by the way. Look at www.bittorrent.com for more information on downloading movies etc. The quality can range from anything from camcorders in a cinema to HD.

I had used different download sites for free movies.

This one has movies with various formats and quality.

Hope that helps,
