Question:
Do you think Metal Gear Solid Rising will be good?

I am asking this because Hideo Kojima has announced the game for xbox 360 so his team has to fit the game onto a 8 GB disc comparing that to mgs 4's which was 50 GB. Plus here is the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lOiXbLXCD-w&feature=channel_page

Should be good. I don't see why it wouldn't be. Was Metal Gear Solid any less great because it was 2 PS1 discs and not one? To say a game isn't going to be good because it will have to be on multiple discs is retarded. What matters is that the CONTENT IS THERE, not how many discs it takes to get it there! MGS, Final Fantasy, all great games and needed multiple disc. So I'm not concerned with that, especially since it is going to be multiplat, so without a doubt the PS3 game will be blu-ray. No stealth, Lightning Bolt Action, that's fine with me too. While traditionally metal gear is stealth game, it would be nice to have a switch up. This is why developers are scared to take risks and change it up, because they don't want to alienate fanboys. How else is the series going to evolve? You have to change it up somehow, be that by gameplay, or directors. God of War is great example of this. Jaffe did the first, excellent game. Balrog(?) did the second, even better game. And the next one is looking to raise the bar again, with a whole new director, and all of them worked on the previous games, just as Kojima proposes for Metal Gear. So I say go for it.

Wish they had announce MGS5, but hey, 2 new MG games, what's not to love about that. And another mystery game in wings...

I am thinking that for the xbox version of the game, they can make it like a PC game where you can install the game on xbox's hd and put all the data there but you would still need a disc to play it (to prevent piracy). Since xbox is made by Microsoft and most PCs are running in microsoft OS, it is possible to make it that way. After all, this MGS:R is also coming out in PC platform. It may come out as good as PS3.

Kojima isnt really even involved in it. If you watched his MGS: Peace Walker conference, he said he was involved in the Peace Walker, and basically put down rising calling it a spin off.

They said they are taking the stealth elements out, the elements that make MGS a stand-out series. I doubt it will be anything special but I'm not underestimating Konami here

not so sure its lightning bolt action so its basically hack and slash i am curious to see how it will go but i don't think it can do hack and slash like god fo war or ninja gaiden sigma
