If you're looking to buy a Playstation 3 and Modern Warfare 3, then this bundle is a match made in Heaven. The stand-alone 320GB PS3 system retails for three hundred brand new, while MW3 is sixty. So it's like getting a free game, but that's where your benefits end. The console is your basic PS3 (not that that's a bad thing!) and the game is the standard edition. You still get one controller and no HDMI cable. And unlike last years PlayStation 3 160GB Call of Duty: Black Ops Bundle, there is no free map pack voucher. In fact, the only thing custom is the box!

I own both, and I'd have to say Ps3 is much better. Here's why.

1. You don't have to spend $50 to play online each year.

2. The games/apps/netflix and ease of use are superior on the Ps3.

3. The battery lasts longer on Ps3 controllers (almost twice as long.)

4. I've had both for 5 years, and I've never had trouble with the Ps3, but I've got the red ring of death twice in that time on the Xbox.

5. Personally, I think the people I meet on PSN are friendlier/more mature than those on Xbox.

6. I have a better internet connection with the Ps3 (it has a better signal.)

7. The graphics on the Ps3 trump those on the Xbox, especially with an HDMI cable and HD tv.

However, the Xbox does have party chat (you can talk with friends playing different games), and it comes with a mic. But, Ps3 plans to soon add party chat, and if you really want a mic you can buy one for $5.

TL;DR Ps3 is better.

EDIT: Cesar just copy and pasted from Wikipedia, so don't listen to him.

Let me break down the differences.

PS3

-Native 1080P graphics

-3D gaming and movies

-Faster RAM, CPU, and GPU (the CPU is an 8 core processor, too)

-Better cooling

-Native internet browsing

-Native wireless internet

-Very low failure rate

-Native multimedia center

Xbox 360

-High compatibility with other devices (computers, Windows phones)

-Very secure online

-First console to utilize wireless controllers

-Access to "Indy" games (games created by the users, not programming companies)

Overall, the PS3 makes for a better gaming system because of it's power, graphics, and reliability.

navigation menues is faster and easier on the xbox but the ps3 has blueray. everything else is pretty similar as far as graphics and entertainment are concerned. is you like watching movies or netflix on a console, go with a ps3. if movies and netflix don't apply to you, you're better off with an xbox

Xbox 360(Truat me, you won't regret) and no offense but PS3 has many security flaws and bugs and I've exploited them myself.
