Did sony screw up on the PS3? ?

Question

1. They were sued for a bunch of stuff regarding the PS3
2. There are only a few games that I like and are good
3. Sony Will never make profit on the PS3(Reports say)
4. Sometimes they dont know what they are doing.

Thats just my opinion what's yours?

1. If your talking about rumble loads of companies were, people get sued all the time, Nintendos been sued nearly once a week for stuff like the Wiimote so they must have really screwed up.

2. Your own opinion, how have they screwed up if YOU dont like thier games.

3. The Console may not, they always sell at a loss, Wii is one of the only consoles in history to make a profit straight away, 360 only broke even a few months back, Sony make profits on games and Blu-Ray movies.

4. So whats this 10 year plan they have for all thier consoles, MS jsut shat themselves when Xbox flopped, so they released the 360, earlier than they should, with RROD. and Nintendo are surprised to hell thier console is selling at all, they got lucky, no business plan at all really.



My order of screwing up -

Nintendo - didnt expect it, but they are on top by miles, and know thier core audince.

Sony - Have thier 10 year plan, but wit hstuff flopping behind ( home was menat ot be out a year ago) and the $3billion loss on consoles they lose browny points.

Microsoft - released a fualty product in an (admitedly succesful) attempt to eat into PS3 sales, however this cost them $5billion in replacments and in screwing over the Xbox owners (only 4 years old ouch), there flailing about, they have released the Avatars, a blatent copy of Miis without the abilty to use in game, there cutting price massively and naming console Aracade to get at Wii audience, but have not a single Casual game. In fact i dont even think there trying to get Hardcore Ps3 audience anymore.

1. They were sued about the rumble in the pads. MS were also sued about the same thing but settled quicker. Ninty's been sued over some stuff too. Point being, they all get sued countless times about all manner of stuff - some is just reported louder than others. 2. Your choice of games is obviously a heck of a lot different to mine, and considering the amount of cross-platform titles you obviously don't like the 360 either. 3. Reports are wrong. Wii aside, EVERY single console has launched with a loss in its first few years. The costs to develop the new technology get more with each new generation, which means a bigger hit to start with. As a comparison, MS never made a profit on the original Xbox and are something in the region of $6 Billion down on the 360 (if my figures are wrong, i apologise, but the point is still valid). 4. And neither do any of the others. You could have quite easily made the same points about the 360 or pretty much any other console in the last 20 years.

Even when starting a business people always say this and that.

But let's wait and see what the future holds.I mean a 360 game like Bioshock is coming to the ps3 this october.



This year looks very good for the ps3 cause a lot of cool games are coming.



And anyway you see all this troubles they are having.It shows that the future is gonna be awesome.



And this year home will come out November 8.



Forget the reports, they said Obama would not make it and look how far he is.



They are reports okay predictions not accurate descriptions of what the future holds for the ps3.

2. I won't even answer this, there are over 30 incredible games on the PS3, not counting all the insanely amazing ones coming out.



3. Don't you think Sony anticipated that? That's why they took a chance with blu-ray. Every time Microsoft or Toshiba or anyone makes a blu-ray purchase or product, Sony gets payed. And with blu-ray aiming to replace the DVD within a few years, that's mega profit.



4. Yeah, sometimes they don't. Trophies suck. Home's been delayed more times to count.

i personally thought that sony made a mistake with the PS3, but recently i changed my mind. the PS3 is very advanced for its time and will last for another 7-8 years through constant updates. the original price of the PS3 and the game library turned off many people cause it to get a poor reputation from the very beginning. the PS3 may only have a few good games...now, but the Holiday season of 2008 and the year of 2009 are bringing in many great games from shooters to platformers to third person adventures.



the PS3 hasn't failed yet, it just never got a chance to succeed.

because of its cost, and the only game that I personally was intrested in was GTA IV, I ended up with a 360....



the PS3 hardware is much more advanced and has a much lower failure rate then the RROD prone 360....



the ps3 also is the reason that blue-ray won the high definition video format war...

the 360 had a head start to the market, so it has more games, and MS was able to lower the price faster then sony was able to do.. give it some more time, and the price will be around the same for either system... and there will be a larger game availability... then you will see everyone praising the ps3 over the 360...

It's not Sony's screw-up you don't like the games, that's YOUR problem

2. Metal Gear Solid 4, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Ratchet and Clank, Resistance: Fall of Man, Warhawk, Motorstorm. All exclusive, the games that have already been released have all been critically acclaimed/well-recieved in the opinions of publications and gamers, yet you still think the PS3 has no good games.

And there's a lot of games to forward to, sure, we don't have Gears of War 2, we still have:

God of War 3, Resistance 2, Littlebigplanet, Killzone 2, L.A. Noire, The Agency, Jak and Daxter 4, Socom: Confrontation, and that's just the tip of the iceberg.



I'm sure enjoying my PS3 and have more games to look forward to

Never heard of PS3 being sued. I love my PS3 system and my games FIGHT NIGHT ROUND 3 & GTA 4 both are Great games and the graphics and I don't even have my HDTV yet.
