Yes i also have the same problem, The thing that annoys me the most is that Sony have said people who use it more than others (or however they put it) are still aloud to play online. This is stupid. I am on my ps3 every day and cannot sign in. if they are doing maintenance everybody should be offline it's not fair in the slightest to have others on why some cannot sign in we all pay for the same service so we should be treated equal.

In order to continue to deliver you the best online games experience, we will be performing maintenance to upgrade the software for the PlayStation Store on Thursday, January 17th. This maintenance will start at approximately 8:00 am PDT (9:00am MDT / 10:00am CDT /11:00am EDT) and end around 9:00pm PDT (10:00pm MDT / 11:00pm CDT / 12:00am EDT) Friday January 18th.

is what i JUST found on their site. They seem to be changing the times every few hours as I have seen different "finish" times every few hours. As far as why some people can play and some can't, it says that if you logged into the PSN in the last 5 day then you can still play online, but it not then you can't. But once again they seem to be wrong bc my friends play everyday and yet cannot play online now. Seems like Sony just says what need to be heard to shut us up for a few more hours at a time. That one guy who said "they should give us something free"......they do, it's called the PSN. Don't beg for free stuff just because something that is free isnt working right now. I would love to see a free vita game or ps3 game, but to say it the way that person did just sounds greedy. Even if we get something for free it will not be that great of a game/movie/app, not like we'll get a 60 dollar game for free ya know. But i am equally as mad as everyone else, i had just bought a PSN card to buy vita stuff and now it seems i have to wait til Saturday to use it. Sucks too because I had all day off today and I gotta work all day tomorrow. Maybe Sony shouldn't do repairs on their stuff so close to the weekend!

Ya i have went to the website and they dont know what in the **** they are talking about either. Mine is down as well so yesterday I got online and found something on the network saying they were undergoing maintenance but that they would be back online by 11 pm est time on Jan 17th. So last night at midnight i got on and got the same message. This morning it still wasnt working so i got online and went to their website, and all day long they have posted a message every few hours saying it would take longer than expected. At 5 pm today they said it would be up by midnight. Now its saying it will be working by 5 am tomorrow morning. I am sure tomorrow morning they will extend it until tomorrow evening. They dont know what the **** they are doing. I will definitely be going to X Box after this

This was a 12 hour routine scheduled maintenance from 8 AM PST until 8 PM PST... however Sony just announced on Twitter the maintenance will be extended past the 12 hour mark, meaning it will probably be at least another 4 hours from now until it is up and running again

Yeah same mines not working, I'm signed into PSN and I can see my other friends are playing but when I try to play black ops 2 it says Maintenance on servers

At the moment, it is undergoing maintenance. When it usually returns is the maximum of 2-3 hours, it is not working for me. For the moment, you'll have to do something else while waiting.

Weird, on the Playstation Network website, it says that it is online, it may not work for some people, but this might be my cue to finally jailbreak my PS3.

It depends if you have logged into psn within the LAST FIVE DAYS! If you have, you can still play while they do maintenance. If you have NOT, then you can't play online.. But me personally, I'm playing online fine, but I wanna download a movie or retro game to play and I can't get into the PS STORE!! Anybody???? Btw it's now SATURDAY and this crap is still not working, PS PLUS, PS HOME, PS STORE are ALL DOWN
