PS3 internet problem?

ive got an ethernet cable, the connection used to work fine. but now it doesn't? it just says this is a dns error (80710102) i don't know what to do and its so annoying i haven't been online on my ps3 for ages.

ive set my internet to share but it don't work. ive also tried ipconfig/all but it doesn't work either it wont tell me the default router/gateway it just says 0.0.0.0 and it says invalid on my ps3. where else can i go to find out all my details like ip address gateways and that? also ive tried setting it to auto but then it wont even pick up my ip address

If its something wrong with your router, make sure your router isnt locked, you can check this when you manually set a connection on ps3. Your password should be your phone number.

I bought a madcatz ethernet cable and it worked flawlessly but it stopped working in two days.I reset all the settings and it still didnt work.it ended up being the cable so maybe thats ur problem.
