Has anyone had problems accessing playstation network?

I had my PS3 60GB just after christmas, after numerous attempts i still cant access the playstation network? I can browse the internet without a problem and upgrade the software so there is no problem with my internet connection. All i could think of is that the network is busy? but like i say i have tried loads of times at different times in the day and night.
When i have tried to register on the network sometimes i will get further than others but never get all the way. Any ideas please.

Depending on the type of network modem/router you use, you may have to configure port forwarding.

Port forwarding is where access through certain ports on your router is blocked, meaning you have to manually open them.

PlayStation Network uses TCP ports 80, 443, 5223 and UDP ports 3478, 3479, 3658 (voice chat), 4658.

This may not be the problem though, given that you can sometimes get further into it.

I had to configure port forwarding to get my voice chat working, but have never really had a problem with the PSN.

The PlayStation Store sometimes doesn't work, but that's usually when there is a big new release on it (e.g. Ratchet and Clank demo).

I had the same problem. Folding@HOME works, the internet works, no problem getting a system update, but for some reason the PSN doesn't work. Did a connection test, and everything works until I get to the last 2 tests, connection to PSN and something else.



Messed around with it and nothing works until I turned off my security settings on my wireless cable modem. Then I could connect to the PSN.

try signing into the network or just wait it out it may just b some technical stuff goin on

we had that problem just before christmas, but it cleared itself after a couple of days - i think you will have to be patient for a little longer

I additionally get the right situation!!! i won't get admission to my PSN Account please somebody answer me it additionally says: An blunders has occured. you have been signed out of psnetwork. (80710092)
