I was trying to watch a movie on my PS3 from a USB. The box states that it supports multiple formats but it doesn't say which ones exactly. I converted it from the natural HD format (****hd or something) to AVI to mp4 and I still have many formats to try. I click on the video tab and slide to USB and it says "no files" or something. Does it have to do with the resolution or something or can you just not play videos from USB? It's capable of blu ray playback and regular DVD's so I find it hard to believe that it doesn't support USB files. Does anyone know what to do?

The PS3 browser isn't a completely blown laptop browser exchange. you may desire to place self belief in the PS3 firmware updates to (according to risk) replace your flash version. there is not something you're able to do approximately it. some web content use a thoroughly distinctive plugin (like a Quicktime participant or comparable issues), and those won't artwork on the PS3 giving you a sparkling area. you may desire to video reveal those video clips on a real laptop.

The easiest way to play movies onto the ps3 is have your computer act live a media server. Download PS3 media server. This way it does not matter what format your movie is, it will automatically transcode them on demand via streaming so the ps3 can read it. The PS3 media server will show as PS3 media server on the ps3.

Then you navigate to your movies like you would on your computer.
