I have a PSP-1000 firmware 5.51.
I want to downgrade to 1.50 so that I can play homebrews on my PSP.

I am not willing to install custom firmware on my PSP.

Thank You

If you're you don't want custom firmware because it's illegal, you should know downgrading is also illegal, besides custom firmware gives more options you can play play homebrew, emulators, game back-ups from memory stick, apply custom themes and plus you can get a 150 addon so that you play 150 homebrew games and apps and your psp would in general be more compatible than it's ever been.

Anyway unfortunately need to do all the things you said you wouldn't. Incase you decide to I'll briefly decribe how you would downgrade to 150. Instead of using your only battery buy an extra one and make a pandora battery use a search engine for instructions, make a magic memory stick, once you've done this probably, it won't matter if you screw up your firmware because you'll be able to put the firmware on the magic memory stick back onto your psp anytime. Once you have custom firmware search for hellcats recovery flasher put 150.pbp to the root of your memory stick and downgrade with hellcats recovery flasher. This will reset your psp settings and you'll be on ver 1.50 firmware. Just remember if you're ever stupid enough to drop your psp while it's updating or while hellcat is downgrading or something you won't have to worry as long as you have a pandora mms prepared.

Sorry friend, but the only way to downgrade and play homebrew games is through custom firmware. When you have CFW you can can put your psp into "service mode". From there you can downgrade and get homebrew. If you want to shell out the money, i suggest buying a Pandora battery from www.pandorasales.com. If not, you can try your hand at creating your own. Look around on youtube for guide videos (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmUMc3JVALE is one example). I hope that i helped.
