Brought a new PS3 Controller today, fully charged it when I got home and it still hasn’t solved this problem: in the last few weeks my old controller stopped working wirelessly every time I put on the PS3 I have to plug the controller into the USB port. Why is this happening? Is it something to do with the controller or the console itself? Please help!
I am sure it’s charged. When I press the PS button nothing happens. The lights on top are still flashing
I have re- registered it by plugging it into the USB port when I plug out the cable it goes wireless and works. but when I turn off the console it stops working until I repeat the step again.
This problem is really starting to worry me!
It’s definitely charged. The battery icon is full
If I start the console with the controller connected, then plug out the cable, the controller will work wirelessly. I can’t use the controller without connecting it first to the console at start up. I never had to do this before the problem

It may be interference caused by other wireless devices in your home, such as a wi-fi signal, a telephone line or cellphone, a turned on raido, walkie talkies, or many others. See if you have any of these in your room and unplug them, they may be causing interference with your ps3 controller. Go back and return the old one, if you continue to face the problem, see if it works this time. Maybe you just had bad luck and it was defected both times you bought it.

So why do we blame God for everything that goes wrong in our lives. Is he to blame because you got 70% - perhaps you need to concentrate more on your school work. There should be no problem getting proof from your former school - you have your results for year 10 and the Dept of Education should have a record of your attendance there. There is no point in worrying - it will not solve any problems - perhaps you should talk to your parents in a rational manner and let them know you are concerned about your future and need their support. Taking your life is permanent ( as another person has said ), and, you know life is really wonderful, there are times when it does get a bit difficult but you can handle it and one day will appreciate the struggle you may be having now - and the strength you gain from life's hardships and that you overcame the struggles and made a success of your life. Do Not Give Up and ask God for guidance - believe me - He will give it. Good luck and may you have a good life.

I had what you are describing happen to me once. When you turn off your PS3 make sure that you do it through your controller. Meaning hold the PS button down and turn off the system from the menu. Then flip the switch on the back only AFTER the light on the PS3 turns red. When you flip the switch on the back onto the ON position again; and the light on the front turns red you should be able to press the PS button on the controller to activate the system.

I say the problem is with the ir receiver either with the PS3 or the controller itself, what I would do is take the entire thing to a repair shop and have it checked.
