I accidentally reset my video settings. I go to change it back to 1080i and there is no option to change the aspect ratio of 1080i to 16:9, it stays in 4:3. It will go to the ratio aspect settings after selecting the output in the others like 480p 720p and 1080p but not 1080i.

Isn't that option in video settings? I'm sure there you'll find that option. If not it could be the TV isn't setting itself (can happen) which would mean changing ratio settings there

Yeah there is display settings and video settings. one deals with the HD the other with ratio. Better still call up Sony and they should advise over the phone what to do.

Yes checked. Display settings changes the bit rate 720P1080i etc but to change the ratio go to video and change to letterbox (widescreen) and you should return back to 16:9 gaming

If your TV can do 1080p, switch to that - it's a better picture than 1080i (faster refresh).

1080 in 4:3? That would look really messed up! :P
