Get a ps3, it has the BEST UP COMING GAMES FOR 09/10'.

Seriously it does like the ones you named above ( you named more ps3 games then 360 games which should persuade you already! ). There's also MAG coming out for the ps3 which has 256 player online action! Heavy Rain will have amazing graphics. The xbox 360 really isn't getting much when compared to ps3 games, i'll and MANY MANY others will tell you that now ( game experts).

Here are some more reasons to get a PS3 and NOT an xbox 360!

The *expected* lifetimes of current home video game consoles:

Xbox 360--2005-2010, you'll get 1 and a half years out of it

Wii-2006-2010, you'll get 1 and a half years out of it

Playstation 3-2015 (Sony said they made it to last 10 years, so 2006+10 years=2016, round it down just to be safe), you'll get 7 years out of it.

In short, it has better reliability, multimedia capabilities, a large list of exclusives and more coming out in 2009 and in the future and it has over-the-top graphical capabilities (google “Heavy Rain”). And to those who say the Xbox 360 is cheaper, well then just look at the following list:

With the PS3, you get:

-A Blu-Ray player, which if you wanted one of equal value would blow at least a $700 hole in your wallet

-Free online service

-An ever-growing list of exclusives, like Resistance 2, LittleBig Planet, Motorstorm: Pacific Rift, Metal Gear Solid 4 and in the future: inFamous, Killzone 2, God of War 3, Uncharted 2, L.A. Noire, Heavy Rain and Massive Action Game (M.A.G.—in which over 256 players will be able to play on the same map at the same time, 128 VS 128)

-More flexible in terms of hardware, e.g. swappable HDD, USB mini cable, etc.

-Built in, superior Wi-Fi

-Web browser

-A super sleek system complete with chrome trim and a slot loading disc drive

-HDMI 1.3, Xbox 360 only has HDMI 1.2 (major difference despite only a 0.1 difference)

With the Xbox 360, you get:

-DVD Player/upconverter

-Xbox live, which is $50/year, and not even worth it

-Halo 3 and Gears of War 2 (that’s a lot of exclusives compared to the PS3, if you ask me: P)

-Umm…can’t really say anything about non-proprietaryness, because Microsoft inflates the prices for their accessories. 120GB for $150? With the PS3, you can upgrade to 500GB for $110!

-A 1 in 3 failure rate (it's not "if", it's "when")

-Many people are on their 5th or 6th 360's already because of RROD, and my friend is on his 12th!

So here’s a quick run-down of what you must buy with the PS3 and 360:

PS3:

Console $400

Game $60

Controller $55

Charger $2-10--any USB mini cable will do

Total: $517 ($2 USB mini cable)

Really, if you bought all the things the PS3 offers SEPERATELY, you would be able to buy roughly 3 PS3's with that money (gaming console+computer+SUPERB Blu Ray player)

Xbox 360:

Console $300

Game $60

Controller $60

Play and Charge kit x2 $60 (for 2 controllers)

Xbox Live $60

Wi-Fi $100

Total: $640

That’s not cheaper, so get a grip on it! The multi-platform games are using about 25% of the PS3's graphical potential. So there's lots of wiggle room in the future for much more brighter, detailed and massive environments.

On the other hand, most multiplatform games are using about 98% of the 360’s potential. And they look the same, if not better on the PS3. At this rate in 1 year, the PS3 will have outshone the 360 graphic wise. It’s just that the 8-core Cell Broadband Processor is very complex, and takes developers time to get used to. And they are getting the hang of things. The PS3 has a very good reliability rate: only 0.2% failure rate (note the decimal), while Xbox 360's have a 30% failure rate. So, for every 1000 of both consoles produced, 2 PS3's are defective, whilst about 330 Xbox 360's are defective. The numbers speak for themselves. Many game developers have OPENLY stated that in the near future, and right now, they will use the PS3 as a lead-developing platform, and then they will port the games to the 360.

Xbox Live VS PSN? The only thing you are missing is cross voice chat, which can easily be solved by using a telephone, or even in PSN’s V3.00 update, which we will be seeing soon enough.

The PS3 has sold 21 million units in 2 years. The Xbox 360 has sold 28 million in 3 years. Plus a 33% failure rate, that means that 9.24 million units are either refurbished ones or replacements. So really, the amount of one-time buyers is about 19 million. So really, the PS3 has sold 21 million in 2 years, while the Xbox 360 has sold 19 in 3 years, and the PS3 has a higher face value ($199.99 vs. $399.99)

So in conclusion, the PS3 is better—you get the most bang for your buck, and it's an incredibly advanced all-in-one home media center hub. You can even install Linux or Windows XP and use it as a computer—legally! While with the Xbox 360, Microsoft will ban your 360 from certain things, if you install the OS at all (just try to bypass the security).

Hope this helps! Xbox 360 is a great console but in all honesty a ps3 will last you longer in the long run. so you can get a 360 but the ps3 is the smarter choice.

Happy Gaming man.

honestly i think the ps3 beats the xbox 360 in ever angle possible.

IF YOU ARE A HUGE FAN OF HALO JUST GET THE XBOX 360

(there is no other saving grace game for the xbox 360 (im not a fan of gears of war)

1)ps3 doesnt break easily unlike the xbox 360. the xbox 360 has a 33%failure rate and the ps3 has .02% you do the math. the xbox 360 is the least reliable console ever made mainly because microsoft is a software company not hardware. the xbox 360 is also very loud and annoying. if you dont keep the xbox well ventilated the fans will speed up creating more sound. the 360 disk drive is very loud because of the disk tray. the ps3 on the other hand is completely quiet.

2)has blue ray which give the playstation 3 up to 50 gb of space to make the graphics unbelievable(only have broke into 30% of the ps3`s capability so far graphics wise) the xbox 360 has unlocked all of its capabilities up to this point. and the double layer dvd`s they use only hold up to about 8.5-9 gb

3)price

if you were to buy a xbox 360 and say you need wireless you my as well just buy the ps3 because you would be spending $400 anyway (thats why i bought the ps3 it was just cheaper) but also you have to think about buying separate battery packs for each controller that cost an average $20 for the xbox 360 making it even more expensive. then also you have to buy a $50 subscription to live every year. when your xbox does break make sure it has the e74 or 3 red ring error or you will have to pay $100 to fix it keep that in mind. (by the way they have not fixed the xbox 360 failure problem with the nxe update they actually made it worse) also if you need more hard drive space for the 360 you would have to buy a custom 120 gb for about $150 now say you need to for your ps3 you can buy any 2.5" sata laptop hard drive up to 320gb for about $120. over all the xbox 360 is more expensive for a lesser quality machine. the reason i say that is because the ps3 has the best blue ray player ever create to this point. the most expensive blue ray player that i have seen was $500 dollars if you were to buy a ps3 you would get that and a game console it really sells it self in a way.

4)live

honestly this section is my opinion there is no facts saying witch live is better because it will never be actual fact it will always be bias in someway.

in my experience with both consoles i would have to say xbox live doesnt deserve to be worth $50 a year it is on the same level as playstation network (remember this is my opinion i would recommend you to try both lives before you make a decision)

5)games

PS3

-kill zone 2

-resistance 2

-metal gear solid 4

-MAG (looks unbelievable)

-grand tourismo 5

-little big planet

-motor storm

(there are more that was just off the top of my head)

xbox 360

-halo 3

-halo wars

-halo ODST

-gears of war 2

-Forza motorsports 2

-PGR 4

-army of 2(not great at all)

-viva pinata (really stupid)

(there are more that was just off the top of my head)

6)Graphics

this will also be bias but not as much it is really just your opinion. at the moment most online web sites are saying the ps3 has better graphics than the 360. but the problem is the multi-platform game developers do not have enough time to make the graphics as good as the exclusive games from sony. right now more and more video game companies are making the playstation 3 their main platform that they are focusing on now, so expect better quality game for the ps3 to come. even though the multi-platform game developers were using the 360 as a main platform the ps3 still pulled out better graphics mainly because of the GPU and blue ray according to ign.com. ( i would recomend playing a 360 and a ps3 on the same tv and compare them with the same game if possible.) the ps3 also supports 1.3 hdmi the 360 only supports 1.2. 1.3 hdmi puts out a higher quality color and contrast (more vibrant whites and blacks) making the ps3 look better.

over all i would recommend the ps3 to anyone over the xbox 360. i know some people only buy the 360 for halo and i respect you for that but if you dont care if you have halo or gears of war i would defiantly buy the ps3 in a heart beat.

I hope this helps you!

Even thought PS3 is $200 more expensive it's worth buying.

It has many A class games like the Xbox 360, it has Blu-ray, wi-fi capability, upto 160 GB HDD, Free Internet. Controllers charge with a USB cable.

The Xbox 360 is $200 cheaper than the PS3, it is also very good. It has A class games such as Halo 3, and Gears 2. However the Xbox 360 charges upto $60 for XBL annually, another $80 for the wi-fi cable, and another $35-$40 annually for replacement of batteries, and plus NO BLU-RAY!!

80GB PS3- $399.99

60GB Xbox 360- $479.99 (includes everything the PS3 has)

I would suggest Ps3 due to less money paid and more better exclusives comin out in 09/10. Listen they are both great systems however if you think bout it god of war 3 little big planet 2 Final Fantasy will all be amazing on the Ps3. the ps3 lasts a lot longer my friends all have 360s that are broken while ive had my ps3 since last June and they got it not long before that. So the ps3 has a lot of good games now lets talk bout money wise. Ps3 online is free, online isnt different, free Usb cord and Controller with the ps3 system, system is 400 bucks additional controllers are 60 bucks, USB cors 2-10 dollars, games 20-60 dollars. Now 360 money wise online 60 bucks, games 60 bucks, system 200-400 dollars, controller 60 bucks, online also costs 60 bucks every 13 months so you keep on paying. Add it all up and the ps3 wins in cost, also if you like HDTV with amazing graphics and amazing games go with the Ps3, however if you don't care bout better graphics and want better game selection go with the 360 and also if your not the person who listens to music or watches movies go with the 360, if you wanna do all of that go with the Ps3. Its your call but i recommend ps3

Lol ur gonna get so many fanboys for this question.

Simplest answer I can give u is, dont listen to anything anyone says on here!

Most of it is unfounded lies about how bad the other system is.

All I can really recommend is

a: Wat do u plan to do with ur console? Mostly gaming, with only a little bit of movies and music and stuff? Xbox is for u.

Perhaps u would watch a lot of movies, and u have a HD TV. Then go for the PS3.

b:Try the controllers. Find which is more comfortable.

Technically it is the xbox controller, it is more ergonomic, and I prefer it.

But some ppl do perfer the dual-shock. So try them both, see which u prefer.

c: Actual games u like. If its gameplay, and overall enjoyment, I would recommend the Xbox. For games that focus a LOT on graphics, then PS3.

And last but not least. The xbox is actually better spec for gaming. THe GPU is more powerful. The CPU is well known, so its easier to programme advanced stuff for it.

But the PS3 is much quieter, has HD built in, and bigger Hard drives.

So, to finish. We cant answer. All the fanboys will hate me, because I am pretty much recommending both systems, cuz they are BOTH GREAT, u wont dislike either.

But we really cant answer for u.

PS3 IS THE BEST!

Y? :

Killzone 2 - PS3's version of Halo and the best looking console game out there. Good gameplay to match.

PS3's glossy black finish makes it look way more beautiful than the 360.

Failure Percentage = 0.2 % (as long as u don't play too long and take long breaks in between sessions).

Online Gameplay is free!

Sixaxis controller function allows for more innovative gameplay than the 360.

PS3 comes with USB charger for your controller. 360 users gotta buy batteries for their controllers or buy the charger, which = $20-$50.

PS3 can use most Bluetooth headsets for gaming.

PS3 is gonna have more exclusives coming soon!

Everyone pretty much covered this question. Tons of great features on the PS3. Main reasons to buy a PS3:

- Who wants to pay for online?

- Better Graphics

- decent games

- More space (Up to 160GB on a retail version)

- Blue-Ray player built in (Retail price around 200$)

And more!

There really are only 2 reasons people buy Xbox because its cheap and because they like Halo.

PS3 is much better, it has a better game lineup in 2009 and beyond. Plus the Blu-Ray player is very nice. Xbox is going to be outdated in 2 years so it wont be worth it.

There are rumors Gears of War could move to the PS3 (just rumors though)

oh and Dead Rising 2 is going to be on PS3

This question has been answered about a million times...but..

The PS3 is 399.99 for the 80GB model.

It comes with 1 controller, the PS3 itself, 80GB harddrive built in, RCA cables, ethernet cable, power cable charging cable for your controller (which is a standard usb cord)

It has a lot of storage and you can swap out the harddrive later if you choose to (for a bigger size) for pretty cheap.

It has bluetooth technology so not only does that eliminate buying batteries in controllers (because they charge to the console) but you can also use any bluetooth cellphone headset to play online with.

The interface is a lot nicer and simpler to use in the PS3. The menus are simple: Music, Settings, Users, Friends, Playstation Network, etc.

The PS3 has FREE ONLINE PLAY. It also has something called "Home" that is free to download and use. It's literally an online community where you can meet new people, create your own character, play mini games like pool, car racing, etc and meet new players to hop onto a game with.

It's very simple to find your friends on your PS3 and join a game with them.

The PS3 has BUILT IN WI-FI so you don't have to buy any extra adapters to connect to your wireless router. You can connect it wired if you want to, as well.

The PS3 plays Blu-ray movies and up-scales your DVDs.

You can store your pictures, music and movies on your PS3 in every typical audio/video format (avi, mpeg, mp3; etc)

Now the XBOX 360.

It is 199, 299 and 399 depending which model you buy.

199 is the Arcade. Comes with all your cords, one controller a 256 MB memory card, NO harddrive and 5 arcade mini games. This is not the console you want to start with. It is more of a replacement console. You can NOT play online with it and only save aprx 3-4 games on it before you need to delete your save files manually.

299 is the Pro. Comes with all cords (including component HD cables), 60GB harddrive, no games, wired headset, ethernet cord and one controller. Standard Xbox and has sufficient amount of memory. Hard drive can be bought later but it is proprietary to the Xbox and is about 160 dollars.

399 is the Elite. There are 3 Models of the Elite (yea it's ridiculous and they are all the same price).

Comes with everything above + HDMI cable and instead of a 60GB harddrive you are getting a 120GB harddrive.

The Red console comes with Resident Evil 5.

The Black console either comes with nothing, or the new one comes with GTA4 + 2 limited edition stickers (releases in 9 days).

Every Xbox comes with 1 month subscription to Xbox Live.

The Xbox 360 has A LOT of hidden costs. It uses infrared instead of bluetooth so your controllers take batteries. Double As. So that's an extra 20-30 dollars a month. OR You can buy properietary batteries for your controllers with a specific charge cable for 29.99 for each controller (it's called a Play and Charge).

The Xbox 360 does NOT offer free online play. You have to pay $60 a year for a subscription or you can pay on a monthly basis ON your Xbox with a credit card.

It does NOT have built in Wi-Fi so you have to buy an adapter if you have wireless internet. The adapter is $100 (yes, one HUNDRED dollars)

The interface on the Xbox is annoying to use. It's something that if you use it for the first time, you are going to be confused as HELL to find everything. It's not labelled nice and easy like the PS3 so finding options and getting around is not a simple task. It takes A LOT of getting used to.

Playing online is good with the Xbox, the only disadvantage (besides having to pay for it) is that it is hard to find your friends. Nothing is layed out nice and simple for you so it's a giant chore to get online to start. I guess it's something you just have to get used to.

One good thing about the Xbox 360 is the ability to save your games on the harddrive. Instead of having the disc drive spinning the disc all the time, you can install the game to the harddrive and play it without having your game in the actual console. However, you still have to keep the game because once in awhile it will ask you to put the game in the console.

Oh, also, if you are going to buy an Xbox you might want to be aware of it's overheating issues (yes I know fanboys will tell you about something called the Jasper chip which practically 'eliminates' the 'red ring' issue but it's still continuing). Anyway, the Xbox 360 overheats. Majorly. You are not going to want to play it for longer than about an hour and a half till it starts getting massively hot. You probably won't have your Xbox for longer than 6-months to maybe a year before you start running into problems. Whether it's not playing your games, freezing your games, redringing, you're getting errors-- there are ALWAYS continuing issues with the Xbox.

Microsoft actually just claimed that they had their 1 billionth console failure a few weeks ago when they've only sold 30 million consoles. It's from all the people having to send their
