OK, I have an Xbox 360 that I use to stream video from my Windows 7 based PC using Windows Media Center. I've been thinking about getting a PS3, but I'm still kinds sitting on the fence. I want it for a Blu-Ray player, cool exclusives like Uncharted and God of War, and better DVD upscaling. I've also heard that the PS3 is better for streaming video, but I can't really find anything about it. Is it? Also if you have any other reasons why you think I should buy a PS3 please enlighten me. I dont want any PS fanboys saying "ZOMG pS3 is soo much better coz i hate XbOx!"

I personally enjoy the PS3 better than the 360 for streaming videos and for basically everything else, on the flipside PS doesn't get stuff like Halo or Tenchu, but PS3 has photos, videos, four USB ports, free unlimited internet (browsing and online gaming) and sweet exclusives, The Blu-Ray player is there, no warming up, and because of the USB ports you can put anything on there, movies or music you have on your PC, etc.

PS3's can have errors, sometimes the eye gets broken, it's happened twice in about two years both times were in the beginning stages of launch, and each time they sent us a new PS3, so if you need to send it in I recommend backing up your files onto your PC, also it takes a bit, but it doesn't have the Red-Lines of Death.

The PS3 also has chargers for the Winsaxis, it takes about twenty minuets for about an hour and a half of charge.

Now I'm speaking from a PS3 users experience, I have little Xbox 360 knowledge, I'd recommend searching for someone who's owned an Xbox for more than 2 months.

P.S. This is a friend of Emma's, not the real one.

Blu-Ray and the ability to load and play video and song archives, all plus factors and particularly elementary to do on the PS3. i do no longer understand approximately stay information superhighway video streaming as I particularly have not used that provider, yet there is an option to 'seek for media servers', no remember if this refers to something over the internet or a close-by workstation set up as a media server i won't say. Plugging in a USB gadget which includes exterior complicated tension or USB reminiscence stick is common as pie, the PS3 can play one in each and every of those accepted and new video and audio codecs. I particularly have performed video and audio direct from my exterior USB complicated tension in this sort with out any issues. Sounds to me like a number of the solutions right here haven't any expertise of the Sony PS3, and are basically wager-artwork. I particularly have a PS3 and can inform you that the internet activity play is going something like this - change to on line mode interior the activity, elect a server (for me that is a ecu one), enter the foyer and decide a activity consultation to connect, or host a activity your self. in case you have pals you could organise a activity that for the period of elementary terms you and that they might connect, the PS3 has this methodology equipped in and you'd be able to additionally use a USB/Bluetooth headset in case you like. it would desire to correctly be genuine that XBox stay is greater mature and subsequently has fewer teething issues than Sony PSN, in time those could be ironed out. What you're additionally getting with a PS3 is an extremely solid gadget - there is often a small risk that any digital gadget would be defective from production defects or a defective batch of aspects, however the layout is rock good and there are basically some comments of PS3's failing.

The PlayStation 3 is ideal for streaming content in the highest quality possible. You can imagine that, since it's made by a hardware giant, Sony, that they know they're stuff. The Blu-Ray player is one of the best in the market right now, the streaming is capable of giving you 1080p quality images and everything else in the system works to expectations.

You might have to find some PS3 review videos on YouTube to find out more, but a PlayStation 3 overall is well worth it. It contains all your multi-media entertainment in one $300 reliable machine. I would recommend!
