Question:
Is there any way to save a PS1 game while using a PS3, aside from using a PS3 memory card adapter?

I'm a huge roleplaying game fan, and some of my favorite games are on the playstation one; rather than lug out the old PS1 or PS2, I started playing Tales of Eternia on the PS3, only to discover that I was unable to save my game directly to the hard drive.

I know already that there's a memory card adapter for transferring PS2 saves to the PS3 (though I'm not entirely sure if it works for PS1 as well). Does anyone know if there are any hacks for the PS3 that enable you to save PS1 games directly to its immense hard drive? Should the adapter function properly with a PS1 memory card?

Thanks in advance for any answers you may be able to offer.

U create an internal memory card and assign a slot number to it on ur ps3. Go to game menu, then memory card utility, then select new internal memory card then u will get options as wot sort of card...ps1 or ps2 then u assign it to slot 1 or 2.

Did you download it from the PSN? Is it a PS2 game? If you downloaded it from a PC then there is no way of transferring the game to the PS3. The only compatible games are those that are purchased from the PSN.

you create a internal memory card, choose the PS memory card, name it, create it, set it as slot one, and your good to go
