ps3 question on lcds ?

hey i want to buy a awesome lcd screen for a ps3
i would have the lcd screen hocked up to my ps3 and pc with a spliter and a hdmi converter
so would this work and what is a really great lcd screen for a ps3 thats under 250? maybe 300?

I exactly know what you are talking about. Don't listen to the guys above me.



I bought an AOC 2216Vw. - It was the cheapest I can find :-D.



Here is my monitor, http://www.aocmonitor-anz.com/lcd_monitor/2216vw.php I don't know if that kind of monitor is available to you guys. ( If you live in USA ) but its available for Australia and New Zealand.



Look, if you are buying a monitor, just make sure its HDCP. Because you can't play HD on it unless its a HDCP. So check the specs very carefully before buying one.



LCD screen usually don't have a HDMI input, unless you buy those $500-$600 LCD monitors. That's way out of your budget!!.



So the cable that you would be using is a DVI to HDMI cable. The DVI goes in to the LCD, and the HDMI cable goes in to Ps3.



But DVI cables does NOT carry SOUNDS. So if you hook up your Ps3 with the LCD, and use a DVI cable. You would see the picture, but you would NOT hear any sounds.

If you already have a 2.1 speaker. You would need your A/V cables, the white, red and yellow cables that came with your Ps3. a really great lcd for under 300? not possible..



Tv's at the price tag are about 15" ...which is really small!!



And you might not have enough even...casue sure it might say 199$...but add tax..25$ ...and a warranty (you need warranty with a tv - anything can go wrong with a tv) you'll end up spending more then 300.....so you seem kin of young ..12 maybe? so just wait and save some money





I paid 900$ for my 32" toshiba..including taxes and 3 year warranty

Unfortunatly you need a 3D enabled TV. Sony also unveiled new models of 3D over the past week as well to give a complete 3D experience. A 3D TV allows a splitting of the signal to give a 3D analgh(bad spelling i know) effect and has a refresh rate of at least 120Hz(at this rate it would be 2x 60Hz images to form 3D) A standard tv can not produce 3D in the same way a 3D enabled one can
