I'm trying to put Yellow Dog Linux on my cousins PS3. I've done it on mine but my cousins is so weird! It gives me this picture. I don't know what to do. I can highlight LINUX but when I hit enter, it wont do ANYTHING. and when it goes into its like, wannabe Anaconda mode, it says *******something, failed*****. So idk, I have a 60GB version, and he has a 40GB one. Does it make a difference? I also try pressing. "0" for SAFE but nothing happens, and if I try other ones, it wont show anything because I'm on a 480i TV.

and it has like...check-cdrom.failed or something. its so weird!

Heres the picture:

you need a HDTV for default YDL install. For installing with SDTV you need to type installtext at the kboot prompt, then after install is finished type ydltext or ydl480i at the next kboot prompt.

i would not advise it! i attempted it and it became purely too sluggish for my liking, definite its an journey and firefox and a few stuff ran ok, however the considerable concern is you won't be ready to run a team of purposes, through unusual cellular processor! particular, PS3's browser is poo, and yea you may run linux on it, yet its purely too lots of a play around for my liking! i take advantage of ubuntu linux accepted and its great on a pc, yet until you have some particular initiatives in innovations, then carry on with the classic XMB, great interest demos and lots of area!
