Why is the PS Move Better then the Wii Motion Plus controller?

Question

A lot of people point to the PS3's HD graphics, but that is a function of the PS3 not the PS Move.

Similarly, some people like the games better, but that has more to do with implementation of the controller then the controller it's self.

So I have the following hypothetical question:

We have two PS3's each running Soccom and hooked to the most beautiful HD TV's in the world. One has the PS Move attached, and one has the Wii Motion Plus attached. It has the wireless nun chuck, the inductive charger, etc. (We are taking the games and the graphics out the equation, and getting back the core question).

What are the differences I would notice between the PS Move and Wii Motion Plus?

in term of motion sensing the wii wins. In term of cost the wii wins. The wii controler is design for family fun, plus it the mother of motion sensing tech.in my opinion the difference is in the cost. The better the tech, the more money you pay

The PS Move was developed more than a year after the Wii Motion Plus was developed. Technology improves every year and so motion catching technology improved in between these two devices. PS Move used the Wii Motion Plus technology and improved on it so it will become more accurate and smoother.



This does not mean that Sony worked harder at this or is smarter than Nintendo, it just means they took a technology and improved it over time. But there is nothing wrong with taking an idea and improving it and Sony did need this in order to keep up with this new family friendly marketing.

with the Move navigation controller, they're pretty much the same but the main difference is that PS Move games are in HD and the PS Move tracks at 1:1 while motion plus runs at VERY CLOSE to 1:1 but not true 1:1, however, you can't use a Motion Plus with a PS3 and you can only run the PS3 Move and the Wii Motion Plus with their respective consoles.

Ps move use motion tracking system (akin to kinect). so basically PS3 can track move ball controller in real time with some calculation to backing it up. they are most accurate motion controller for the market



while wii motion plus relying on calculation of their sensor, so technically they have less 1:1than move.



you will notice the different of accuracy, it small but noticeable.



i don't know about wii, but you must at correct position when playing move so that camera can track it

The move controller is so much better, because it captures your every move, unlike the wii motion plus controller.
