This is probably the newbiest question out there, but hear me out. I just got Elder Scrolls: Oblivion last night for the PS3, and it's the first game of the series that I've played. However, I'm still getting used to the learning curve, and I'm having a bit of trouble casting spells.

I've assigned a spell to a hot button, and attempted to press R2 (that's what the tutorial menu said) and nothing's happening. Any help/tips will be greatly appreciated.

First, make sure you've pressed the hot button. Then check if your character can actually cast the spell. Your character may not be at the correct level for the magic type. For example, if your destruction level is at 5 you can cast only a very basic fireball. To cast a better one your destruction level needs to be at 25. Look at the information about the spell, and check to see if your skill for that magic field is high enough. Then check to see if you have enough magicka to cast the spell. You may only have 100 magicka but the spell needs 110 to be cast.

i think of you ought to use a soul gem and kill the enemy in time to seize their soul. it is been awhile for me, so it is extremely useful to pass verify Google or something. in case you like oblivion you're able to attempt Fallout 3 because of the fact its like the comparable creators as oblivion different than placed up international conflict 3 or something. its fantastically remarkable.
