error code 80023121 using PS3?

when trying to connect to the internet with my PS3 i get this error code 80023121 when I look up the error code on the PS3 site it shows this error code cannot be found. I know that the system has been down for awhile because someone hacked into it but when I sign on using my mother PS3 which is 1 room away i can get on Netflix so i decided to try on mine again and got nothing so i did a restore lost everythign and I still can't get on.

That's due your PS3 not being able to connect to the router and get internet access for some reason.



The following steps should help:



1) Reset the router



2) Turn the PS3 off at the rear switch and wait 5 minutes then turn it completely back on



3) Reset the PS3 Network Settings



4) Enter PS3 Network Settings manually: Settings > Network Settings > Internet Connection Settings > Custom



5) Enter a Manual IP Address



If none of those work, then there's something else wrong as I've never had issues connecting after following these steps unless the router was broken or the internet service was out.



I can assure you it has nothing to do with the current PSN issues, it is a network connectivity issue.

The Playstation Network (PSN) has been down for nearly 2 weeks due to a hacker attack. You should have gotten email about this. It has nothing to do with your PS3.



Sony hopes to have PSN back online for the US by tomorrow.



In the meantime services like Netflix will still work - just ignore the PSN Login stuff.



When PSN does come back online, everyone will be required to download a new firmware update that supposedly includes some security updates.

I'm getting that same error code as well, I searched for it on google and apparently it means the system is down. PSN isn't available to anyone yet as far as I know, hopefully soon fingers crossed! Bloody hackers!

This code means that PSN is under going maintenance however PSN has actually been hacked and peoples information stolen but it should be back online very soon but when it is you should change your password. There are 77 million accounts on PSN and 36 million have been affected by this so it is CRUCIAL to change your password!!! Hope I helped :)
